My experience at B5 (post natal) is extremely positive and one that I will always be grateful for. The staff on the ward made post-recovery as pleasant as possible. I would specifically like to thank Jacqui (who I believe was running the ward during my time) who was incredibly patient, kind and caring. The ward was full, and staff were run off their feet, but Jacqui never once made you feel you were being an inconvenience - I’m in awe of how she dealt with it all! I’ll be forever grateful for the kind care provided, making the birth of my first child one that I will always look back on fondly.
I want to take this opportunity to pass on my thanks to everyone who looked after/I interacted with on B5 (labour) during my stay. It was my first child, and first experience of the ward and therefore staff and everyone made me feel respected and safe. Specifically I would like to say a huge thank you to Suzie Le Brocq who delivered my baby. Suzie was patient, kind and was everything I wanted in a midwife and more. Suzie’s role during labour went above my expectations, and helped make mine and my husbands experience positive and one we will always cherish.
My pre-op treatment was exemplary. All staff and nurses were friendly & helpful. Estelle answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. The appointment went like clockwork, despite being very busy. Thank-you!
The team were very professional and caring since I was referred.
My case hander has done every thing in her power to ensure my follow up treatment has been actioned. But the NHS are still very poor at working within their duty of care guide lines, which lead to a second stroke. Treatment is still outstanding as it was on my first stoke. The NHS are just giving their TIA team more repeat patients, a round Robin effect
My experience of pre. and post operation care was that all concerned with my welfare
were both professional and caring,
I was impressed by the cheerfulness and supportive nature of the nursing staff and the skills of the Surgeon and his team.
From my admission to my departure I had very good service.
WELL DONE NHS!

The nurses were lovely and friendly, very attentive and made my stay as bareable as possible.
The support we received was excellent, both by the midwifes and the support workers. Nothing was too much trouble and you really felt you could ask for help whenever you needed it. They put my mind at ease and made me feel very supported as a new mum.
I had a wonderful labour experience at QA hospital. Everyone was incredibly friendly, all choices were explained clearly to me and I was given time to decide what I wanted to do. Things did not go according to my plan but due to the staff I still had an incredible birth and am so thankful to everyone I came in contact with.
I had an earlier appointment to have ear moulds made. At 93 it is somewhat difficult to attend appointments. The ear moulds were apparently sent away and then lost so I had to start again.
There does not seem to be any source of information as to how often hearing should be re-tested.
The staff seem very nice. The waiting room is often crowded and too hot.
