I was very impressed with the care provided and how all the staff dealt with the many complex medical problems and some of the difficult patients. I feel that the following might help both staff and patients: 1. Patients would benefit from being given an information sheet on arrival about daily routines and the use of the TV and radio, as well as a list of the staff working in the ward/room. 2. It was difficult to know who I was speaking to and the staff were changing every day. Please could all staff wear a name badge high on their chest so that their names can be read when lying in the bed. Low slung name badges in small print were not readable most of the time! 3. I felt that getting to know other patients in the ward helped motivation and understanding about what was going on. However, the patients' names were printed far too small to be read across or along the ward. Please could all patients' names above the bed be printed in a four inch font so that they can be read easily by patients and by staff. 4. It took me over four hours to get out of the hospital once I had been released from the ward. Transport was coming and going all the time but few patients seemed to be moved if any each time. Why? Finally I should like to say that the food was excellent and that the staff did an excellent job. I should like to thank everyone most sincerely, Raymond Hale
