I was advised to go to A&E after visiting my dentist to have a tooth repaired, following a fall the week before, as she suspected I had a fractured jaw. After visiting A&E I had X-rays and a nice young man from Max Fax came to talk to me after reviewing them. He was so kind, helpful and reassuring. I was dealt with after only a short delay and the treatment I received that day was second to none. I left with brackets, trauma bands, instructions on how to deal with them and an appointment for 2 weeks later. On every occasion I have attended the department since - for follow up appointments, I have never been dealt with by the same person. But that didn't detract from the care I was given. I was always told what was going to happen next, and why, and asked if that was ok. If I winced at any time during my treatment, they stopped what they were doing, apologised for the discomfort and always asked if I was ok and if they could continue. You often only hear about 'bad' treatment from the NHS, so it is nice to be given the opportunity to provide some positive feedback and to thank the staff for their care, and I cannot praise the staff who handled my treatment highly enough. Many thanks for your kindness and care.
