My appointment card said 11-00 am. I walked to the reception desk and within two minutes my name was called. Basic stuff; height, weight, BP by a very efficient but friendly nurse, explaining it was all about pre-op prepping. Back in the waiting room for five minutes before I was called a second time. Lovely nurse who went into greater depth with a lot of questions for everything she needed to know, while explaining to me why she needed to know these things. Finally bloods, a packed (or so it appeared) waiting room, yet withing ten minutes max my number came up. Five minutes in the cubicle and two phials of blood down, and I was on my way out of QA. Considering the under-funding and lack of staff the NHS has to operate under I feel my treatment could not have been better. One very satisfied patient.
