For follow up eye appointments it would be good to know if pupil dilation is expected or not in the appointment letter. I do not live on a convenient bus route and to find that I could have driven my car to the hospital (no drops were to be used in the first place) is disappointing to have really inconvenienced others - particularly with unknown time for pick up. I appreciate that a standard letter covers all eventualities.
