I am a psoriatic arthritis suffer for the last 13 years, medicated with methotrexate, 10mg per week. My initial flair brought me to QA unable to make a fist with either hand. Methotrexate allows normal life except for a steroid jab into the synovial membrane in 2009 to relieve a painful left knee. I have asked for an early appointment, 9 months into an 18 month period to my next scheduled visit, with a possible issue appearing with my left hip. After manipulation and conversation we have decided on a plan to investigate possible treatment if pain from my left hip reappears and persists. I am most impressed with my specialist and colleagues ability to listen to my symptoms and surrounding occurrences, then focus on the issue and suggest a diagnostic action to prove and react to my problems. 13 painfree years and normal life of walking, cycling, running and skiing convinces me I'm being understandingly treated by a great team.
