It was a few years ago and my operation was done as an NHS patient but still treated with care and consideration by all the staff. I was 71 at the time.

Shocking care, massive waiting times, false information about waits for treatments and results, most of the night staff appeared not to care at all.

I visited the hospital on 14/08/2025 for a CT scan. All of the staff were very nice, helpful and friendly, particularly Dominic who dealt with my canular. He took the time to answer my questions about the procedure. The hospital is always nice and clean and I highly recommend the veggie samosas in the cafe.

Appallingly long waits in A&E, always. There must be a better way. 6 hours this time. I expect that many people think they should go to A&E but decide, based on past experience, that they won't bother. So they die at home. But hey, I guess that doesn't show up in the stats.

I was treated for a rotator cuff surgery at the orthopaedic trauma unit at Princess Royal the care I received was fantastic. The only thing that went wrong was that I didn’t receive a post surgery appointment and had to chase it up which was frustrating and time consuming. Also the female receptionist was frosty each time I went for a follow-up appointment (the young chap there is lovely) apart from that it was great.

Serious arm fracture on Christmas Eve. I was shocked and afraid and very grateful for the kind way I was treated. Plaster cast put on arm and x-rays sent to Brighton Hospital doctor at time. It was later decided that an operation was required and my care transferred to Brighton hospital, where Mr.Joideep Phadnis took over my care. Communication was excellent with myself and the 2 hospitals involved. All arrangements made for surgery 2nd January, due to Bank Holiday. Physiotherapy at Princess Royal. very well don e and most helpful. Thank you to all the staff.

I had a hysteroscopy at the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath under the care of Mr Ehab Kelada. I found Mr Ehab Kelada very welcoming and extremely pleasant before my procedure. He explained fully what was going to happen and gave me time to ask questions. Mr Ehab Kelada gave me the best care throughout the procedure. I was treated with so much respect and kindness. The nurses were kind, attentive and gave me a lot of support. Thank you all for your wonderful care.

I arrived at the hospital and was operated on within a couple of hours. The anaesthetist explained what would happen, from that point although I wasn't knocked out I wasn't aware of anything that was happening and didn't feel anything. Once back on the spacious ward the nurses were very attentive and ensured my pain was manageable at all times. When it was time for me to be discharged, even though I was going to a convalescent home in Rustington transport was arranged for me - I had expected to have to order and pay for a taxi.
