Share review of The Tunbridge Wells Hospital
The midwives and HCAs on this ward were amazing - such caring and dedicated people. I was treated with respect and with great care, with many staff going beyond the call of duty - particularly with breast feeding help and support. A HCA, Jenni Jones, played a huge role in my eventual success with feeding my son myself and I will never forget that. She, and others, were patient and caring and I felt supported in what could have been an overwhelming experience. The staff make the post-natal ward and, indeed, the whole maternity department, a very special place and one where i feel fortunate to be looked after.
One other comment: I guess there are TVs in the rooms as it is recognised that private rooms could be isolating. I would have appreciated it if my TV had worked - not to be focused on the TV but to have it as 'company'. The TV did not work during my stay on the ante-natal ward or post-natal and I found this frustrating and isolating. If TVs have been provided, please let them work!
