I came as morning elective .Left on my own in room 14. Waited and waited then I was told that I would be done on the emergency list. Hours an hour's passed I was hungry and people were not be helpful. I understand that there was emergencies but they should of kept me updated and made a decision to let me eat. I had no midwife until 4pm. The only person trying to help me was MCA Stacey who was trying to help. They didn't understand that I had child care to arrange. Because I thought I would have been operated on so my husband had to leave. The midwife abi had no sense of empathy and not patient led left me on a chair all day without getting me a bed and came across rude. Then sister Helen undermined waheeda in front of me when she should of spoke to her privately. Waheeda gave very good care and made me more settled. My c/section was then the next day but at the end of the elective list and by this time I am fed up. To make things worse was that the anesthetist was telling off sister Helen infront of me while have my epidural. Imagine how anxious I was and how that made me feel.however Helen gave excellent aftercare.
