Mid-Argyll Hospital and Integrated Care Centre

Was sent here by ambulance with breathing difficulties. Ambulance staff were excellent, and I was seen straight away on arrival at A&E. Lots of tests were done, but the diagnosis from the doctor did not match the symptoms. (the diagnosis was for a on-off event, and did not fit the repetitive element of my symptoms). I was given no further treatment, only antibiotics and steroids and sent away. Subsequently it developed into a bad infection and the breathing difficulties worsened. The doctor's bedside manner was somewhat high handed and argumentative.

Speaking from a professional standpoint - I was treated terribly as an employee of this hospital - in particular within MH. My confidence was significantly altered after my time here, I highly discourage anyone who is not local to the area from thinking of applying for any positions. The clannish mentality is awful - unless you enjoy a challenge that is! I have never experienced such a poor working environment in my whole NHS career - staff morale rock bottom, compassionate care of staff - zero, and absolutely no professional development opportunities. Please think carefully, your wellbeing is more important than a job.
