My son was taken to A&E after being attacked on 01/10/10 at 2.30am. When I got there I was give little information of where my son was or how he was. Reception seemed more interested in sitting in the back office than on front desk. I work for the NHS and found the service to be very poor and staff to be totally un-intersted. The hospital was dirty and once in A&E area ( after waiting 5hours to be seen when it stated on the notice board that the waiting time was 2hr 30min wait!) a bug ran across the floor. The nurses seemed to hanging it out with patients to hand over to the morning staff. On a good note when finally seen the Dr was very good. If I could have take my son to another hospital I would have! Medway Hospital needs to send the staff on a customer care course and give the place a very good clean!
