I am writing this review on behalf of my mother, Mrs Nancy Harrison. She was on Oakham Ward from 24.12.14 to 31.1.15 and the care she received was excellent. She is 98 years old and had suffered a fall which resulted in her having to have a hip replacement. We thought she would never walk again but the nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physios, OTs and hotel services staff were amazing. They were so kind and caring and treated Mum really gently and respectfully. Over the weeks she was in the ward I saw the same courtesy given to other patients and was really impressed by the attitude of the staff, cleanliness of the ward and quality of food. The staff also looked after us, the family, and were always willing to talk to us about Mum and this was greatly appreciated at such a worrying time. Mum was very fortunate to have been admitted to Oakham Ward for rehabilitation and we are eternally grateful to all the staff for everything they did for her.
