Luton and Dunstable Hospital

I was admitted to the SDEC ward on 7.2.26, lovely Dr Dhillon took good care of me as well as Nurse Geraldine and HCA Rebecca, an asset to the hospital!

It took a couple of days to find me a bed in the cardiology ward (16) and until then I was in ward 11 which was very noisy overnight in ways that I felt could have been avoided and not conducive to getting rest. However, the staff were friendly and caring. Ward 16 was much quieter and restful, with very good, helpful and caring staff who were always easy to get hold of. Visits by consultants and other doctors and specialists were always very satisfactory, with good explanations of what was going on and adequate time for my questions. The only negative comment I have relates to the inadequacy of visitor parking, which made it very difficult for my family to visit from outside the Luton and Dunstable area.

Family member admitted. No communication to patient. Diabetic jab missed. No staff communication.
