Questions 3-8 sum up to what is good - the sessions I have attended have been well organised - having more than 3 in the group would have improved interactions.
This was heart therapy group. I would not call it care but I was well looked after in terms of the group. A larger group would have been better. Equally (Q7) I did not feel that I was being looked after. I was participating in a group. I'm sure I would have been looked after if that had become necessary.
All staff friendly and dedicated.
It was mum and her family's wish for her to stay at home till the end and you all helped her achieve that, it meant so much to us all.
She said she had never been so clean and her skin was kept impeccable (no bed sores either).
Nothing was any trouble and communication about mum to family was great.
We couldn't have asked for better care.
Counseling was availability quickly.
Six sessions isn't long enough to get you through the long walk of bereavement. I was fortunate to get more and it was needed.
Now what's needed badly is a friendship group. It will help greatly with the loneliness that sets in.
When counseling finishes loss is felt again.
Go for the friendship group!
Even though we had carers only for the last two days of my husband's life. I couldn't have asked for more care and help for the patient just when I was finding it so difficult to care for him myself.
Very relaxing.
Firstly, it was uplifting to arrive at such a beautiful venue in such a relaxing environment.
The staff on reception were always polite and welcoming and the treatment/care I received helped me to open up and evaluate my life.
It is so important to receive counselling from the right person.
I found Lorraine to be both supportive and non-judgemental.
- She totally understood me and helped to unlock suppressed emotions, I benefited greatly from our time together.
I cannot think of any way that this could be improved.
Thank you for offering me this service.
My wife and I would like to thank all the staff al Longfield for their endless support and kindness towards my wife and I.
Thank you
We will never forget you all , thank you.
Staff understood the pressure I am under being a carer.
There was no feeling of 'you love to do this'.
