This was my first time in counselling, and despite the hugely difficult circumstances I can honestly say the sessions have gone a long way to improving my general well-being and outlook on life. My counsellor, Sammie, was very patient, welcoming and genuinely took an interest into my life, helping find ways in which I could better understand and deal with the problems now facing me. I was never under any pressure nor made to feel at all uncomfortable by my counsellor. Despite feeling uneasy at times due to the nature of the conversation, she always made sure I was in an ok place before moving on/ending the session. This experience has not been easy but I will miss my sessions. Having the chance to discuss my loss or rant about my current situation to someone has been a huge help so my thanks again to my counsellor for the way she dealt with things. I will miss these sessions and would quite happily have continued for a while longer. However I understand this is not possible and have been advised on a number of other services I can turn to for further support when needed.
