I was taken to KG via an ambulance crew, who upon checking in were told to go to Queens, Romford.
So my entire experience of KG lasted 5 mins.
The system in place at king George’s is very good and works, the waiting times were good bearing in mind the amount of people there. You can see that there are pressures but all staff I saw were professional and courteous. I was seen in UTC then the ED then SDEC and everyone seemed in control and hard working. The only problem was from the radiology sept which took hours to send through a report.
Great service apart from a long wait
Good care on the day of surgery
I was extremely impressed ( as a former nurse) with much of my care however, the doctor who dismissed my venous stasis as ‘dry skin’ needs to actually read up about what is actually a serious condition. Sadly, arrogance has not yet disappeared from the medical profession.
I had some lovely caring nurses and doctors in A and E so, one arrogant example didn’t spoil my unexpected and distressing experience.
Absolute shit show of a hospital. Waited 8 hours and they forgot all about my ECG - I was brought in by ambulance because of my chest pains!!!! I didn’t even get seen, I came home at 10pm, I was there since 1pm!!!!!
The nurses at King George were brilliant.
Even though it was a long wait we were treated with kindness and respect throughout. Doctors were friendly and made sure they investigated fully where the pain was coming from. We left the hospital feeling much better.
Thank you for resolving our problem.
I noticed an improvement in the overall experience compared to past experiences
Waiting time was long 4-5 hours.
I was referred for holter monitor and echo but I haven’t got any appointments yet.
