There was a long wait not knowing what was taking so long for the urgent blood test results for Potassium count took four hours when I was told it would only take an hour or so. Even the initial Doctor was wondering what took them soo long. After all that the blood tests done were not sufficient enough and had to repeat the blood test and another unexplained wait for another three hours despite the urgency. It seemed the delay in the blood testing could have resulted in giving the wrong results.

Suggested improvements
Urgent blood test bottles to be marked URGENT and with red coloured caps for the laboratory to deal with strictly urgently to avoid any complications and undue delays saving patients’ and doctors’ time.
