Terrible service I have suffered with mental health for a long time and just get ignored and forgotten about.. I had my last appointment cancelled after I had received a confirmation text and cost me a days wage.. for people that state how important mental health is you couldn’t give a monkeys

Because my background is different and most accept it and don't judge..that I really like please try to remember I'm an individual and not text book...and am extremely sensitive so may feel hurt by "odd" things....

Plz try best not to judge as per "history" and not diagnosis...treat me as this person today not the person I might have been . Most do this naturally but it's hard for us to accept and move on sometimes ..

Phone calls sometimes are not answered which is hard when a service user feels desperate

Initial assessment and coming up with an action plan was effective, although this took a lot of chasing to get sorted in the first place. No-one called me when they said they would and then blamed myself and cancelled assessments instead of owning up to their mistake making my mental health worse. Once treatment was discussed, it took a month of chasing it up to get it set in place.

Calling when it has been arranged and not leaving it to the patient to chase up every detail for months which causes stress and anxiety

I feel I have a really good rapport with my CPN and feel fully supported. I haven’t had much to do with anyone else from the team but when I have they have always been positive contacts.

I feel I could have met with the consultant of the team sooner than I did

I'm a de facto atheist. While I'd love this to be recognised and socially supported I wasn't expecting a psychiatrist to do so in a short appointment as there isn't time. Hire more psychiatrists. Please. Just one psychiatrist for Wellingborough district is ridiculous and dangerous. One wouldn't have just one GP for Wellingborough district and mental health is as important as physical health. I had to wait 8 months to get a first appointment with a psychiatrist and I was lucky to get it that soon. One psychiatrist is not enough for the workload and it's not fair on staff or patients or families or wider society. We all know the last few years have taken a real toll on many people's mental health. We need more psychiatrists. Please hire good psychiatrists on long term contracts that enable them to deliver excellent swift mental health care.

I'm still waiting for the letter after I was reffered by GP to Psychiatric Team, as my state is worsening. This waiting is a bit upsetting but I don't have any influence on this. Overall I'm pleased with care I received so far.
