My therapist James Bell was very good. I have not answered the last 2 questions as I feel these do no comply with my needs so N/A however, I can confirm that James delivered the service and treatment using the person- centred approach to care. James made me feel comfortable and took the time to explain the stages of my treatment and understood my views as an operation being the last resort. I like the fact that James takes the honest approach and does not beat around the bush and does this in a compassionate way. This was my first visit with meeting James as the pandemic restricted face to face consultations. James set a program through the pandemic and carried out video and telephone consultations to monitor my progress. Now I feel more comfortable in attending his clinic I am hoping to progress with his help and recover from my injury hopefully without having an operation. I wish this gentleman all the best for the future.

Suggested improvements
The only issue I had was receiving my appointment via a text message with the date and time but it did not include the address. My referral letter had a Northampton address and telephone number. However with this being the first appointment I was a little unsure of where to go. I rang the number on the letter and got no where as the automated message informed me they were closed for training. It is only die to the fact in prior conversations with James he informed me that on a Wednesday he worked out of the Isebrook hospital. Moving forward I think it would be good to have the name of the hospital with the date and time.

Response from Isebrook Hospital

A very sensible suggestion which I have forwarded to the service manager for action. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager.
