At pre-op had blood taken. Nurse said she would ring the next day if the patient was deficient in iron, if all ok she would not ring. told turn up in th day of operation.
We had no phone call but found he was deficient in iron on morning of operation, so would be risky to go ahead & have his hip replaced. So op was cancelled.
James Anderson was very friendly and informative and sensitive to me being female also. The whole team when passing stopped to make sure I was ok. James has given me the confidence to go home safely. Thank you.
The staff care and attention to the patient who suffers from Down Syndrome has been excellent and put him truly relaxed
Staff loving & friendly. Meals not so good.
Kimberley was lovely.
Katrina was wonderful her assistant was helpful.
The nurses and HCA's were very friendly and attentive. Hayley SMith was particularly supportive when I became distressed but couldn't take my PRN, giving me a room to go to so that I could make a phone call late at night (please say thank you ). My PRN medication wasn't ordered so when I wanted some I couldn't have it. When I saw Nikki Brown from the liaison psychiatry team I felt very dismissed. Her manner was really abrupt ans she came across as angry and frustrated with me. SHe told me that eventually I will either accidentally or purposefully kill myself and there's nothing they will do to help. This is the second time I have been her and the last time she told me that she didn't believe that I wanted to die as U'd had enough chances to kill myself and succeed.
Debbie gave amazing breastfeeding support, didn't feel rushed and felt well supported.
Excellent information given. Fantastic!
I really liked how chatty & friendly the nurses were! Especially when my daughter came to visit.
Attention and kindness.
