The majority of staff treated me with dignity and respect however one person (the person responsible for After Thoughts) spoke to me in an extremely rude manner on a couple of occasions. I could have done with using the After Thoughts service after a traumatic birth but I won’t be going anywhere near. All other staff were second to none and I can’t thank them enough for getting my boy here safely.

Suggested improvements
Not expect people to share rooms with other mums during these times. Allow mums to stay in the same room after giving birth to give them time with their baby and not moving to a different room. After losing a lot of blood and being sick throughout labour, I could have done without having a bath in a room where the main room was being cleaned (I felt rushed) and where my husband wasn’t there to help me because he’d been told to go to the other room.
