The care in this ward is second to none. The staff are always cheerful, helpful, they are willing to do anything for the patients and I must add the food was very good.
I would come in anytime for a rest!

Good
My emergency situation with which I was admitted was resolved. Alex Robiero, Chantelle Dix. Some of the nursing staff are excellent and very caring.
Bad
Some of the nursing staff are condescending, dismissive and uncaring. I have a special diet and there have been 3 occassions when my main meals have not been delivered and I have had no meal. One Friday night I had no meal but I had a can of soup of my own and I had half that plus some toast. I asked during the night for my second half of soup and the nurse snapped, why don't you just go to bed and go to sleep?! When I demonstrated she said she'd only been joking but she wasn't. Following on from the Friday night there was nothing for my breakfast on the Saturday morning. Also related to food, there needs to be more fresh food available. The 'allergy menu' has only one selection which is the same for lunch and dinner every day. Several of the items are not actually available. I was on a moitored input/output of liquid and nurses were lax about taking them away. I could have measured and delat with them but they were allowed to build up and sometimes there were as many as 3 samples needing to be taken away. It was embarassing and unhealthy for the other patients on the ward. Bathroom dirty.
