I was admitted with a dislocated right hip.I may have made it worse myself, I don't know. it happened while I was working on my car I must have twisted as I was getting up, it must have dislocated then which made me fall backwards into the corner of the garage. An ambulance was called but we were told it could be between 2 and 8 hours before it was able to come. I understand perfectly well the reason for that, but I don't think I could have stayed on the garage floor that long and in that much pain, So I managed to get up with the help of my friends. and get my overalls off. My friend brought his car as near as he could and I manged to shuffle along on my good leg as far as the back of his car, he fastened some rope to the ladder rack on the car and I was able to pull myself along on that and eventually get in the car. ( it was not easy ) Getting out of the care at the hospital, was a lot worse pain wise, maybe because I had been sitting a while on the journey. I cannot thank the staff enough for getting me out of that car. The paramedics and the nurses that came to help. I was so sorry to take their time, when I know they are so busy. When they got me inside I could not have been looked after better. Everyone was so kind and I do so much appreciate what you all did for me. Could you please pass on my thanks to all the people involved in my care. I am sorry I don't remember the names of the doctors and nurses, or I would have mentioned them. Thank you so much.
