Treated with respect and dignity from start to end. Anaesthetist Dr Sackey was excellent. Surgeon Mr Lakdawala was brilliant, theatre staff so caring and the nursing staff went above and beyond.

I was listened to, and my preferences were incorporated into my plan
The medical care was very good, it was disappointing that there was not such concern about whether you got a meal, if you had any sleep, could you wash etc.
I recently had surgery at GEH - Florence Nightingale ward.
A huge thank you to all of those involved in my care, from the surgeon right through to the cleaners each and every member of the team was utterly professional, calm, kind and compassionate
As a nurse I know what should happen so it’s even better when your care excels what’s expected!
I am totally happy with this hospital, the only negative was that I came in contact with a Covid positive patient on my ward which meant I had to go into isolation for 14 days on the ward while being treated for a severe broken foot. This was scary for me as I had been sheltering all through the pandemic due to my Chroniuc Lymphatic Leukaemia, and severe Asthma and this was my first venture out of home. This made the stay in hospital challenging
On time- polite- personable- knowledgeable- prepared- helpful.
