I have been diagnosed with Meniers disease on 11th October 2021

Suggested improvements
When I was admitted to ESAC I was being treated for severe stomach pains , I had the best service and care while being there. My only disappointment was that when I attended both the X-ray and CT scan is that I had to find my way around the hospital in severe pain alone. I think had I been offered to being taken by a Porter in a chair would have made it much easier for me . Perhaps I should have specified to the staff at the time and it may have been an option , but I was in so much pain I just wanted to be seen to as soon as possible.

It is a common theme i am noticing with GPs over the last couple of years. They all seem to absolutely detest what they do and they take it out on the patient. Patients only ever seek out drs for new ailments when they are worried, we are not experts which is why we seek out the advice of people who are. So to be gaslit and made to feel like an idiot for even being there is absolutely unacceptable. Especially as I did everything I was supposed to. I didnt just rock up to a&e with a minor ailment. I called the non emergency number, was called back by a Dr and was told by that Dr that I needed to be seen in person that night. So again imagine my shock when I was treated like I never should have been there in the first place. I never asked to be there, I would have preferred to be at home in bed, especially with Covid spreading like wildfire. I listened to the professional advice given by the first Dr only to be ridiculed by the second. As I said, for me personally this is a common theme with drs over the past couple of years. The fact that they are overworked is not the patients fault, if they are now so sick of things that they cant have a decent bedside manner with patients then perhaps they should review their career choice. I personally have multiple more chronic ailments that, could be an indicator of something more serious but as the symptoms are manageable I have not brought them to the attention of a Dr because I am sick of the gaslighting. I am not an idiot, so I dont expected to be treated like one.

All front line GPs need serious refresher training in customer service, bedside manner, listening skills and "how to at least feign empathy". Most other client facing roles are recorded and audited regularly. Perhaps they would take things more seriously if their appointments were all voice recorded. Strangely this does only seem to apply to the front line. Whenever I have been admitted to wards or seems specialists in the past, their treatment of me could not have been better. All GPs I have seen though seem to have a massive chip on their shoulder which they need to remove and fast.
