I wasn’t 100% happy with the doctor and could of been a better experience. But it wasn’t all bad.

Suggested improvements
111 service put me through to the appointment at the urgent treatment centre. When I saw the doctor at 3am he was questioning me as to why I was attending after he examined me - not before. I have been suffering with really bad swollen tonsils, couldn’t talk, ear infection and sinus pain, this was day 8 for me. Doctor made me feel guilty for ringing 111 and coming in. He wasn’t happy about giving me antibiotics but I’d argued that nothing over the counter was working for me. I feel it’s important that doctors need to listen to their patients and stop trying to put us down. I was made to feel like I shouldn’t of called and I should of carried on in pain. He finally gave me a prescription for antibiotics and then told me to find somewhere in the morning. There is a pharmacy within DRI next door to the urgent centre so I didn’t understand why I couldn’t go there so that’s something I would say definitely needs improvement because I still went home in the same pain I came in with and had to wait hours for a local pharmacy to open. Just unnecessary pain.
