111 were very thorough on the phone with me and got me an appointment within an hour at the urgent treatment centre. However when I arrived, there were already 6 patients waiting and one had been waiting an hour. We were not informed of waiting times or how many doctors were on duty. I sat there for over 2 hours before being seen. I appreciate that there is a shortage of staff, but I think a bit more communication to us would’ve been better. Especially at the late hour (my appointment was 23:15 and I wasn’t seen until 01:05) The staff I spoke to and were seen by though were all professional, calm and polite though and I can imagine it is a very difficult job to do.
