It’s my truth

I was told to go to A&E for a brain scan. I took a letter that the doctor gave me but I wasn’t seen for almost 7 hrs . I went home . My symptoms persist but I can’t see anyone. The doctor was great but he sent me on to nowhere really. I don’t blame him but as a nurse, I’m worth nothing to be repaired . ( not that I’m worth more than the other service users, but if you don’t help the helpers, who helps the injured? I’m so sad with the NHS . Things have so dramatically changed, that we can help so few in a respectful time.

Called out of hours service owing to a back problem. Was given an appointment to suit me and was seen by a doctor immediately.
