Anxiety

Suggested improvements
The phone call back for an appointment was abrupt/rude and made me extremely anxious for the appointment. I was made to feel like I shouldn’t have called even though I called 111 - gave my symptoms and was told they were putting me forward to speak to a doctor. When I arrived the receptionist was lovely and I asked if my mum could stay with as I was anxious - she was completely understanding and fine (me and mum both wearing masks may I add) When I was called by the doctor I said I needed my mum as I was anxious - she was incredibly dismissive of this and was rude to my mum. When we got in the room she was frowning and making me uncomfortable I felt like a burden to be there even though I had been unwell for nearly 7 weeks. Then I had an anxiety attack and couldn’t stop crying and then I will admit she was much nicer to me and got me seen to quickly. She did also recommend I speak to someone about my anxiety. However, I feel that this might’ve been avoided being so bad had she been compassionate from the start.
