Usually your nurses are helpful and understanding. The nurse I saw thought she knew better and failed to listen to my needs. I get at least 1 UTI per year. The dipstick test showed blood in my urine. I always have the antibiotic called Trimethoprim over 5 - 7 days. This has previously been prescribed by my GP and senior nurse Yvonne Rodney and cavendish house. I made it clear that Nitrofurantoin antibiotic does not work for me. I have had this twice previously. The nurse I saw with the purple hair declined Trimephoprim and made me have the antibiotic which guess what ? Hasn’t improved my infection and now it’s 10 times worse. £9.35p wasted plus fuel and now I cannot get a GP appointment until 7th Aug. I will be complaining to NHS.

Suggested improvements
The nurse(s) need to listen to what the patient is saying. Yeah they have qualifications, however I know my body and I get recurrent UTI’s due to having endometriosis. I know what works and doesn’t work for my body. I am now off work and unpaid due to being a physical instructor. As far as I’m concerned this is negligence.
