I rang 111 prior to attending as I knew the issue was weeping cellulitis due to insect bites and it didn’t warrant (in my eyes) a trip to accident and emergency. 111 “made an appointment” for me to attend the urgent treatment centre. Upon arrival, I was advised that they couldn’t see me and I would need to present at A and E. I was triaged quickly, seen by the Dr and given treatment quickly and was out in just over an hour. All staff were lovely and professional.
