Don’t quite understand what you are meaning re timely information in one of the questions. When going into A&E. we are expected to stand quite a distance from the check in desk. We wait until we are called forward. But it’s very difficult to hear the staff call you as they have a screen in front of them . I think some sort of intercom asking you to walk forward would be much better

Suggested improvements
I think it would be nice if there was some sort of vending machine where you could get bottles of drink and maybe some snacks . As at the moment no one is allowed to be in A&E with you so you can’t ask your chaperone to get something for you . Whilst the cafe is quite close , it’s not in A&E and so you don’t want to go to the cafe as you don’t want to miss your name being called. That said I found the waiting area nice and quiet as it wasn’t full of family or friends sitting with the person who needed treatment. I have been in the past and It’s been so noisy as the whole family turn up to be with the person needing treatment. . When you are feeling under the weather the last thing you need to deal with are other peoples noisy relatives. Some staff call you but they stand far too far away and are not clear. It would be helpful if they stood in the waiting area and called you
