My Dad is 94, suffers deafness and a range of other problems. His diabetic condition suddenly worsened. He has full time carers. The diabetic service came and trained the carers, spending a lot of time with them, being reactive over the phone. Our carers were very pleased to have had this specific training to deal with what can be a difficult condition to manage. As a family member with responsibility for my Dad, I am completely confident leaving him and his condition to be managed by the newly trained carers, knowing that there is support for them on going if required.
