Although her Consultant gave a prognosis of approx 8/9 weeks of life, my Wife only lasted 8 days at home. However, during this time the attention she received fom the carers could not have been better. She really looked forward to the visits because they cheered her up so much,(one of the older carers even washed her hair to make her feel more comfortable) If the carers could be trained to give routine injections, this would give the District Nurse (who came once a day) more time for other duties.

To know someone was there and were able to spend time in the home setting.
Would like to have known sooner about asking to have someone to care and stay overnight to support family member staying up with patient.

People actually listened to us and carried out our wishes.
All the nurses and doctors were caring and always made time to talk through problems etc.

Visit from palliative care nurse so difficult to fully answered questions.
That said very helpful visit. Nurse had lovely manner.
Since filling out form before posting severe phone calls with nurse which have been extremely helpful.

We had excellent care. Cheryl was very patient kind and caring we felt as if we were listened to and was understood. She sorted out what we needed and is putting that in action which will be a great help to us.

Nothing to improve. The care my mum got was outstanding. They helped my mum when she needed it and also was there for the rest of the family.
They treated my mum like she was there own.
They helped me in many ways and put my mind at ease.
