My father was given the best care for the last two weeks of his life. the nurses, the carers and the rapid response team listened to my father, but they listened to my mother and I (daughter) as my father was a proud man who always told them he was ok when he clearly was not.
They took time to get to know us as a whole family and also gave us support, comfort and even a cup of tea.
My wife wanted to be at home during her terminal illness of liver cancer.
This was achieved however, we were not aware of 'hospice at home' until the last days of her life. You visited within 1 day of being contacted and she died the next day. We wished we had known about you much earlier.
The nursing care we had from other sources was excellent but a bit fragmented i.e prime care, age concern, district names, macmillan etc.
It was exactly what we needed due to our circumstances.
We really appreciate the help we received from hospice at home.
People were there for you when needed.
The care my husband received from your nurses was absolutely fantastic. They were very helpful caring and understanding.
They were a pleasure to have in my home at what was a very upsetting time for me. I am sure there might be some improvements but I can't think of any. They are all brilliant to my way of thinking.
My daughter was suffering from Cancer and wished to die at home so hospice@home provided care for her in her last weeks. Each and everyone of the people involved treated her with absolute respect and dignity and made sure that we were also kept informed about what was happening. They worked really well with all of the other agencies involved including district nurses, palliative care team, and Age Concern who provided carers at night and during the day to assist the family in caring for her.
Kindness and humor.
My care was excellent totally geared to me. All fears of the hospice were settled and I was re-assured. Every single member of staff are friendly and polite (nothing too much trouble for them). I would not have coped with moving on with living had it not been for CSH.
Thank you.
Nice and relaxed atmosphere.
Lovely gardens to sit in.
Nice room and facilities.
