Unfortunately for us, we as a family provided 24/7 for 4 weeks, your assistance was only provided from the Wednesday pm of 7th and Mum died on the 9th, we had been crying out for help. I would like to think others would have more than that short time.
I would have liked to understand why you only became involved at a very late stage.
However, your service was brilliant, the care and discrete way attending to Mum's needs was very much appreciated.
Your team made a huge difference for us, greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the assistance that Hospice at Home provided. We are working closely with all our referrers to ensure they refer appropriately and continue to work with them. I am sorry that the input came late, but we will ensure that we communicate with referrers to ensure they are aware that Hospice at Home is available as a support service at an earlier stage.
The care given was very professional and caring in a very friendly way that put the patient at ease.
Good
The staff were excellent - caring, friendly, cheerful and good humored. They treated mum with compassion and respect. I cannot fault the care given. I was also very grateful for the help and advice following mum's death. All in all Cynthia Spencer is fabulous.
Everything we were all kept informed - and everyone who came gave 100% care and attention to our sister. I can't see how you could improve, we were all impressed with the standard of care that Pat received and information etc to the family was excellent.
Thanks you all who came and looked after us.
All the nurses were wonderful. Helped in ways I would not have thought about - always willing to do anything. Extremely kind to patient and to me. Their advice and help was invaluable - I don't know how I would have coped without them.
My husband's illness developed very rapidly so hospice at home were able to support us only very close to the end of his life. However they made us feel we were not alone.
They gave me the chance to rest and recoup. Most importantly they were able to relieve his pain and anxiety in those last few hours.
Understanding and caring people who genuinely gave their time to listen as well as care for my mum until the end.
Everything.
The nurses not only cared for my sick husband but also the whole family.
They were kind, thoughtful and guided us through the final days.
It was supportive and kind.
Unfortunately in our care it was only for the only for the last 4 days of my husbands life it came almost too late but I see that as a failure in the system.
