Every nurse and HCA built relationships very quickly. It was excellent to be able to spend a few hours when questions could be asked and problems explained with very experienced, skilled people. They helped to build confidence in the merged roles of spouse. carer or daughters/ carers. Also it allowed for periods of rest/ sleep after disturbed nights. We all were confident that the care would be individually targets and designed for the benefit of the patient and the family.
