I contacted the health visitor team due to a concern on my daughters weight gain. I first met Sara who was super lovely and welcoming and listened to what I had to say before anything. We noticed my daughter hadn't gained enough weight so we discussed the best next options to help. She booked me a follow up visit 2 weeks later and noticed she still hadn't gained a good weight after 2 weeks on the breast. So she mentioned it may be worth introducing a bottle to see if that would help, she did not force this and was constantly asking if I was okay with this, which I thought was lovely as not many people pay attention to the moms. We tried this for another two weeks which then again I met Sara and thanks to her guidance and advice my daughter had gained a whole pound! We booked another 2 week follow up visit just to make sure she keeps on track. I also mentioned that during the changeover from breast to bottle we found out my daughter has a milk intolerance, which Sara mentioned she would help me when it comes to the weaning to slowly introduce it. Really greatful that this service is there!
