Answered questions I had, supportive nature of midwives, thorough checks on baby and myself. Improvements: lack of consistency in advice given by midwives - each one says something different. Advice also different from Health Care advisor. Difficult to know who's advice to follow. Different midwife each visit - hard to build rapport and lack of continuity in knowledge. Focus on mother and child understandable, but father ignored completely. Focus should be on family.
The midwives' and health visitors visit to see me and the new born baby was quite helpful and they have me many information regarding baby's care and myself as well. If the midwife's visit could be some more it would be very useful.
My midwife (Elaine Smith) was extremely friendly and supportive during my postnatal period. She made me feel at ease with everything and was great. The advice given by her was always spot on and she was great with my baby and me. Thank you so much for being there and being so supportive.
I'm full satisfied
