Understanding my problem and dealing with it.
All the staff showed friendly and caring concern. The physiotherapist that I saw was very professional.
Good - tailored treatment helped identify an issue in my lower back nobody had listened to me over in 2 years of previous treatment. Always friendly always helpful.
I learned about pelvic exercises that I was unaware of. I was best helped being able to talk the problem through as I don't have anyone and I feel comfortable with.
Everything was explained so now understand, and am very grateful.
At a time when there is a great deal of media attention on the state of mental health services, my experience on the Isle of Wight has been one of first class care from start to (nearly) finish. From the careful understanding of Dr Kahn at Shanklin, through the long term assistance of Andrew Chowen, to the thought provoking sessions with John Cassidy and the Emotional Skills Workshop, everything has been targeted at one aim - to make me better. But at the same time, mention should also be made of my GP, for it was Dr. Johns at Ventnor Medical Centre who really recognised my needs are worked to see that I found my way into the 'system'. The Island should be proud of the way in which it treats sufferers, caring, considerate and understand care,
All information was explained to us when asked for and was always followed up if needed. Cant praise the service enough, has been a great help to us. The service is under pressure to fit in all clients but it does it's very best to deal with the workload.

Both visits as a result of my memory problems were from very caring and helpful staff. The information booklet they provided will also be useful for future reference.
