The service barely include me in my care and spoke down to me throughout every appointment. They never told me a diagnosis would be made and didn't really assess me for anything. I didn't get a say in my care plan what so ever, I was just passed off with self help material I had completed 3 times previous, and groups which I'd already completed. During my 2nd appointment I was spoke at the whole duration, I had notes and a plan I had written out and none of it was seen as the man wasn't interested. I didn't get to tell him I'd stopped my medication, I didn't get to tell him I had made a care plan draft up, I didn't get to give him the note I had written the previous night about being given the self help material and that I needed something different. He wasn't interested. He told me that "you need to think about if your really need to have our services, they're really only for people who need to go into hospital" and "you don't have a chemical imbalance, you can do this by yourself, you've learned these behaviours". I came to your service for help, I was extremely suicidal and needed immediate care. I was ready to jump in front of the next speeding car and no one listened to what I had to say. After this appointment, I tried to contact another member of staff I got on with and whom knew my back story. I was told I wasn't allowed to speak to her anymore as she wasn't on my team so I didn't attend the next appointment as nothing was progressing, I was getting stuff thrown at me that had been thrown at me before. Plus, referring me back to my GP was the cherry on the cake, maybe that's your protocol but it's not good enough. Made me feel worthless that not even the mental health service can help me. IAPT has done a better job at assessing me than CRHT ever did. And by telling me what's going to happen and making me feel like I don't have the capacity to make my own decisions, but not I'll enough to be in hospital. It's almost like you pile the money into the sectioned people, and not into the ones who are left on the outside.
