The mental health service was faultless and has changed my life. The mental health nurse (James) who dealt with my case was so kind, understanding and empathetic and took the time to hear everything I needed to say and checked in with me over the course of a few months. He helped me to get the ball rolling on a referral for a diagnosis as well as finding me medication to support me in the interim, which has unexpectedly changed everything for me. He helped me to see my condition from a totally new perspective which has been extremely liberating. I would highly recommend this service and I would like to thank James for his amazing support!

Apart from short term memory loss and acid re-flux I do not have any of the above.

Suggested improvements
Improve the IT equipment and connections to your patients. Very hit and miss to connect online. A great deal of time was lost in meetings due to this. Could do with more mind challenges such as games that make you think and less time spent on what's in the news etc. Although this is useful and is needed to make you think of the everyday it went on too long. Other than those items above the meetings were well managed.

Review of Primary Care Mental Health Team - North East

This was the first time I’ve been told that I don’t have to report what happened to me, I felt seen for the first time as someone who has been abused rather than feeling less than in favour of someone that might not be if I don’t report

Suggested improvements
The phone call I had with a nurse previously told me that I had to report in case he did it to someone else, I know that’s what everyone thinks but it’s not easy, could people be asked to not to jump to reporting?

Review of Therapy for You (NHS Talking Therapies) NE Essex
1st July 2022

I only had 14 sessions but over that period my mental health and overall mood improved massively. I was always treated with kindness and non-judgement by my therapist Eleanor, who guided me gently through the course of therapy, always maintaining an awareness of my struggles. I would recommend this practice to anyone who is considering seeking help.

Suggested improvements
I can't think of anything I was dissatisfied with really.
