i am Bernard Taffs and I am sending this on behalf of my wife Maureen Brenda Taffs.
We have been married 59 years. My wife was diagnosed with relapsing/remitting Multiple Sclerosis in 1980 after a week as an in patient at the London Hospital for Neurological Diseases under Dr Roger Bannister (knighted years back for his work in the field of Neurological Disease - he died three years back and has a plaque in Westminster Abbey near Sir Isaac Newton. He was also the first man in the world to run a mile in under 4 minutes in 1954 at Iffley Road Oxford) Relapsing/remitting MS back in 1980 she could walk. She has had numerous 'attacks since then each result in remission less 2% of body function prior to each attach. She now cannot walk or transfer , has a permanent indwelling catheter and I am her sole carer. We have had impeccable support from the NHS. Particularly from Holly Wheechairs. Justine was magnificent and we were given a great wheelchair to replace our old chair which we have had for 35 years. Maureen and I would like to thank Justine and her team for their peerless support and help in achieving this outcome. Thanks a million. Not an easy job but very professionally done. Best wishes Maureen & Bernie
My 93 year old aunt has just been diagnosed with bowel cancer and is under the care of Andy Harris. He has been totally supportive and given us confidence to care for her at home. He has changed her medication so she is no longer in pain or feeling ill from side effects of opiates. If I have a problem I know he's on the end of the phone.
Sarah and Michelle are wonderful OTs that helped me with Agoraphobia that I have suffered with for 9 years. With their kindness, support, and guidance I have managed to push myself as far as I can. I wish I could have had more than 6 sessions. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL SERVIC
I was recently diagnosed with ASD and I have tinnitus, which heavily impairs my hearing.
Years of drug and alcohol abuse lead to mental health issues .
