The delay between discharge from hospital until the first appointment was distressing to say the least. I needed help with the first ten days not a month later. The damage was done by then.
My mental health had deteriorated considerably and I was on the verge of severe depression. I coped with this by upping my current antidepressant medication but it was a most unpleasant and difficult few weeks.
