I have been in hospital for 5 weeks following back surgery and a major infection. It was organised for the District Nurses to come in twice a day to give me intravenous injections. I have never used this service before. I have to say how impressed I was. They were all totally professional, cheerful and extremely kind. I have never come across nurses as wonderful as the daytime and twilight nurses. One name stands out for me and that is Alison Newton. She was just amazing in every way, The outstanding thing about her was she went the 'extra mile' to get things organised. When I thanked her all she said was, 'no need to thank me I was just doing my job. Amazing lady.
