I have received excellent care from all of the midwives/students as part of my postnatal community care. The midwives have preempted many questions. I may have had as they explain things in detail as they are working. I feel my own recovery and well being has been checked adequately alongside my baby. Although the midwives are undoubtedly very busy, I have never felt rushed in my visits. I did have a concern my baby had a touch of jaundice. The midwives visited the same day and reassured me my concerns were not silly and tested my baby- thankfully it was a false alarm. My daughter had lost some weight on day 5- although it was a borderline amount, the midwives have decided to reweigh her on day 7. This makes me feel confident, my daughter is receiving the best possible care.
