The doctors, nurses, radiologist, and MRI staff were all excellent: professional, thorough, reassuring, caring. My one complaint is the contact centre and the need to deal with them to make appointments. I found that process disconnected, impersonal, bureaucratic and inefficient for me as the patient. A better process would be for the PA to the doctor to make the appointments as they know the patient and this would make the process much more reassuring and personal, less like the patient is just a commodity.

There was quite a significant mix-up of my treatment details during the colorectal scan so that the surgeon that came into the room thought that I was having the procedure (fluid aspiration) done on my wrist instead of my stomach! The 'wrist' surgeon was also somewhat impatient and spoke really quickly and I didn't understand some of what was being said until I realised that he was about to put the needle in my wrist and not my stomach. This issue needs to be addressed.

The reception staff and the doctor who did my CPET were all excellent-competent and empathetic.
I think it would have been helpful to have sent clear information about the test before. I personally knew what to expect but others would not have

Everything went well with the phlebotomist on 4th floor but the staff had a great deal of difficulty finding a suitable vein into which a canula could be inserted for the TAVI CT Scan and it ended up taking ages to complete and me feeling like a pincushion with quite a bit of bruising afterwards. I feel that if I had been asked to drink plenty of fluids a short time before my appointment, as I did in the end, after a number of failed attempts to find a suitable vein, the whole process might have been swifter with fewer failed attempts

My consultant was Mr Vashisht and he always goes out of his way to make me feel comfortable and informed with what is happening.
I have a joint op coming up with himself and Mr Bahn and I was extremely lucky that they were both able to be there for my appointment.

I couldn’t be more happy with Dr Philip Ahrons and he’s lovely secretary Liz…. After seeing 3 different surgeons, I finally found one that I feel comfortable with who explained everything in detail.
