I wanted to provide some detailed feedback regarding my recent ultrasound appointment at your facility on February 27th. Upon my arrival at 8:10 am for an 8:30 am appointment, I found the reception area on the 2nd floor of Portland Place to be adequately staffed, with three individuals behind the desk, all wearing black shirts. Among them, Anna stood out as she was attentive and helpful throughout my visit. Her assistance during the scan was particularly appreciated. However, I observed that the other two male staff members were engaged in casual conversations about TV shows, current news events, and miscellaneous topics, such as discussing the merits of different types of beards. They were also browsing through videos on their computer and mobile phones. One of the males, the Filipino gentleman, and the South Asian with a beard and glasses seemed to be particularly engrossed in their conversation, frequently bursting into laughter as they joked with each other. Their laughter and jokes seemed more suited to a social gathering rather than a professional healthcare environment. While their behavior did not significantly impact my experience since I was the only patient present at the time, I felt it important to bring to your attention as it may affect the professionalism perceived by other patients, especially during busier periods. I understand that a relaxed atmosphere can sometimes contribute to a comfortable environment for patients, but maintaining a balance between friendliness and professionalism is crucial, especially in a healthcare setting. Overall, I appreciate the service provided by Anna and the attention to my needs during the appointment. However, I believe addressing the behavior of the other staff members could enhance the overall patient experience at your facility. Thank you for considering my feedback, and I look forward to seeing improvements in the future.
