Great team Surgeon and anesthesiologist very visible as were nurses and physio

Suggested improvements
There was a little bit of indirection to get the GOP out of Aetna International / Allianz — Vinnie got it sorted but a member of the billing (?) department asked me to contact Allianz which felt off in light of the email chains I was forwarded which suggested a lot of back and forth rather than picking up the phone. In the end the GOP was in place thanks to Vinnie Food service collection seems to be a bit of faff. A nurse may have already cleared the tray and then someone comes in to ask, and in one case two different people came in to ask. Not a hassle but feels like a design fault — there seems to be some transparent film that gets slid in to the room number plate that must signify something. Maybe a more visible magnet would work better? Or an electronic system (which could even extend to ordering?) Please don’t regard this is an irritant but it was the only area of consistent lapses (though hardly a meaningful lapse) in a well oiled machine. The wheelchair was too small when taking me down to X-ray. I needed to drop cushions into the seat and then I could only reach the footrest with pain and only touching the first centimeter of the footrest. Knee patients might benefit from wheelchairs with a calf rest rather than a footrest. Maybe this only applies to patients what are 203 cm!

Sam and Barry are a great team. Both were generous with their time and great at their craft, The sign in the room is awesome — you know the staff’s names, you have goals for the day and the discharge date as a goal. The nursing team works well as a team. I hesitate to single out anyone by name (as I don’t remember necessarily remember them all by name) but Honey and Al were great as were both physios. Having Sam’s go-to physio helping with the aftercare is also a plus. Your pamphlets and on online messaging system are very good — One Wellbeck’s is not as good, for example. Plain English, clear. Easy to access. The art on the walls is great — a Matisse in my room!
