It would have been very good but your administration is chaotic.
Despite the colonoscopy having been arranged two weeks in advance, My Chat was never fully updated. I tried to pay on three occasions but it it kept asserting that there was no amount outstanding. On Wednesday, I received a call from Reservations and was told that I could pay by bank transfer. I Paid and then sent an email confirming that I had paid along with the Reference, Johar 4638, on the payment so that they can locate it.
On Friday, when I arrived at the hospital, they had not updated the system and I was asked to provide the email, evidence of payment and screenshot etc. Then I was asked which my bank is which is a totally unnecessary question when trying to locate a payment. Then I was asked which bank account I paid it into. Well, I paid it into the only account that you sent me with the reservation email. Where else would I pay it?
In a sentence, my feedback is excellent facilities and care let down by chaotic administration systems.
Dr Nick Sawyer in promptly requesting a Colonoscopy and Dr Charles Murray in explaining and performing the procedure.
The nurses treated me better than I have ever been treated in my life, very caring. The surgeon visited me every day after the surgery and answered all my questions.
overall better service than a 5* hotel.
There is little to NO point in making an appointment, then being asked to arrive a quarter of an hour earlier and THEN waiting almost an hour AFTER the booked time to be seen.
I wasn't informed about the call button so I never pressed it!
My appointment was 2pm,
I was told I was the next on the list.
At 3.15 having not seen a nurse since I was prepared for the procedure I walked out of my room and asked for an update when the procedure would start.
I was then told that I was not the next person but there was 1 patient before me.
The consultant had been delayed dealing with the patient before me.
I explained that as my husband was waiting for me and we had over 2 hour drive home this was not very convenient and I had been told I was the next patient when I arrived.
The nurses said they would speak to my consultant who then arranged for me to be the next patient and my procedure started about 4pm.
Before the procedure the nurse started putting pads on me for an ECG.I asked why she was doing this and she explained that it was necessary of a patient was having a general aneasthetic.I explained I was having sedation.
Another nurse then appeared and confirmed I was having sedation and not a general so she took off the pads.
This was not a major problem for me but since you asked perhaps the nurses should read the notes more carefully?
Also perhaps the nurses should pop in every half hour or so to let me know what was happening whilst i was waiting for the procedure rather than leave me on my own for nearly an hour and a half?
otherwise everyone was supportive .

My whole experience in the Cleveland Clinic system has been exemplary. From the outpatient appointments at Portland Place to the treatment I received at Grosvenor Place I cannot think of any problem at all.
Every member of staff I met was courteous, caring and skilled. I had total confidence in all of them.
Thank you to Ms Murphy and the whole team at the Cleveland.
